Last month, we met up with Sandro, who graduated from our University Foundation Programme in 2014, to find out how he is getting on with his university studies in London.
Sandro, from Italy, studied on Bell’s Business Foundation course in Cambridge. He graduated with a distinction and is now in the second year of his BSc (Hons) Business Studies degree at the internationally-renowned Cass Business School, part of City University London.
Sandro is enjoying his second year at university and revealed to us the benefits of studying in London. He says: “The second year is great! I'm now specialising in Finance; it's still Business Studies, but at City in the second year you can choose to specialise in a subject such as Marketing or Finance.”
“Studying in London is interesting as you have the opportunity to attend a lot of seminars outside the university. For example, another university might be hosting a talk from a CEO, so you can attend these as well.”
“I really like life in London – you don’t feel like a student, you feel more like someone who actually lives here. You don't have the student feel you would have in a campus – here you are living in the city, by yourself, so you make friends in the university. The difference is great, because in a way you have the entire city to enjoy with your new friends and London is one of the best cities in the world.”
