James Bond is one of Britain’s most famous and well-loved characters. Based on a series of books written by Ian Fleming, there have been 26 Bond films so far with 12 actors taking on the role of the M16 secret agent.
As the movies are such an integral part of British culture, we thought we would take our London students on a James Bond tour of the city.
Led by our guide Stewart, we explored the many famous locations that have appeared in the movies from the National Gallery, which appeared in Skyfall, to Trafalgar Square, the London Eye and the M16 building, where the character M is based.
Our guide is a passionate James Bond fan with a deep knowledge of the films and their history. The students enjoyed learning about the film franchise and asking Stewart lots of questions about the locations we visited.
We had a wonderful time discovering more about the mysterious Mr Bond.
By the end of the tour our students had:
- listened to a tour delivered in English
- learnt more about James Bond and the author Ian Fleming
- visited London film locations featured in the James Bond films
- socialised with their fellow students.
