Impartial advice and support

Our university enrolment expert and the Bell pathways team will support you at every step, helping you to find the best course and university for you.

Expert advice

All pathways students will receive advice and individual support from our impartial higher education advisory service. You will regularly meet with our University Counselling Manager to discuss your options and your university application. We will advise you on the application process, helping you to write a personal statement and prepare for university interviews.

With a degree in Modern Languages and a Postgraduate diploma in European Language and Intercultural Studies, Sarah Pettit has been advising Bell students on higher education for eight years. Before joining Bell, she worked in international student recruitment for University College London and Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

You will have weekly lectures from visiting universities and the opportunity to meet representatives from top UK universities at our own higher education fair, University + You, held on campus. 26 universities attended our last event including the University of Sussex, University of East Anglia and Royal Holloway University London.

Specialist advice for Oxford and Cambridge

For A level students who aspire to go to Oxford, Cambridge or to study medicine, we will advise you through every stage of this distinct application process. These applications are submitted early in the autumn term, so we will work with you straight away to make sure you have everything you need. In addition, we will guide you through the interview process and stage mock interviews, so you feel prepared and confident.
