Mediating communication and culture.

Linguistic mediation involves more than the language and mediating oral and written “text”. It enables us to highlight language and communication, and language and cultural awareness. It also enables us to challenge our assumptions about language learning and how students might learn better.

This course is part of the “Teaching through the lens of mediation” online course series, expertly designed for teachers who are already familiar with linguistic mediation who wish to explore cross-linguistic mediation and the use of students’ own language[s], and develop their understanding and practice teaching mediating communication and culture
