Junior students explorer the outdoors

Packed with fun and adventure, our juniors will walk away with a curious ‘explorer’ spirit.

Junior Explorer has all the elements of our popular Explorer series, but has been adapted to meet the needs and abilities of students aged 7 – 10 years old.

Our focus is on encouraging your child to build their confidence, practise their language learning at all times, gain eye-opening experiences and meet new friends from all over the world.

The course made my English better because I only speak English here and practise with my friends. I am really confident now and I can't wait to help my sister when I get home!
Last year I was here for 5 weeks and I couldn't stop talking with my friends at home about Bell. So I came back this year for longer. It's so much fun being here!

Project-based learning

Lessons are specifically designed to engage juniors and develop their critical skills at this key stage in their life. Our project-based learning approach means students work to produce something together while developing new skills, vocabulary and confidence using English.

This approach helps students learning faster and more successfully. It also guarantees that students will learn something new every time.

Learning everywhere

Led by a specialist Activity Leader, our junior-friendly activities open up opportunities for students to develop new interests in a variety or areas while practising their English. This helps students develop a natural, fluent use of the language.

In the evening, students also have an activity programme which includes various social events like competitions, treasure hunts and film nights.

Gaining new life experiences

There is no better way to learn about British life and culture than to experience it for yourself. Our juniors will visit some of the UK’s famous destinations!

Study tours are so important to our learning approach. Students prepare for their study tour in class and have educational tasks to complete during their trip, this is then discussed in lessons afterwards.

Students outside learning

Enjoy study tours to exciting attractions like:

Museum of Zoology

The University Museum of Zoology is one of Cambridge’s major attractions. Their brilliant galleries showcase the diversity of animal life, from marsupials to monkeys, mammoths to manatees.

Students will discover stories of extinction, survival, evolution and exploration.

Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre

Get hands-on in the three galleries, packed with activities perfect for 6 to 12 year olds. Find out about Roald Dahl’s school pranks, peek into the author’s original Writing Hut, and discover how Roald Dahl’s real-life adventures inspired his stories. The Museum puts your imagination centre-stage to help students create their own stories – just like Roald Dahl did.

Paradise Wildlife Park

Paradise Wildlife Park is the leading zoo in the UK and Europe for ‘animal experiences.’ Students will have incredible access to some of the world’s most exotic and endangered species, including lions and tigers, meerkats and lemurs. These experiences are very safe, educational and allow our juniors to establish special bonds with some of our animals.

London Eye

The London Eye is an iconic part of London’s skyline and has been offering guests a new panoramic view of London.

It has won over 85 awards for national and international tourism, outstanding architectural quality and engineering achievement. In fact, it has become the UK’s most popular visitor attraction.

Kidzania is an indoor ‘city’  where young people can explore more than 60 real-life activities.

Our students will be able to get a fun and realistic insight into the adult world by taking part in a choice of ‘jobs’ which will earn them kidZos (KidZania currency) and then leisure activities such as the Music Studio, where they will need to spend their kidZos
