LESSONS

Project-based learning

Lessons are designed to interest juniors and help them improve their skills at this important time in their lives. Our project-based learning means students work as a team to create something while developing new skills, vocabulary and confidence using English.

This approach helps students learning faster and more successfully. It also guarantees that students will learn something new every time.

Summer themes for Juniors include:

  • My Body
  • You & Me
  • Super Food
  • Amazing Animals

ACTIVITIES

Learning Everywhere

Led by a dedicated Activity Leader, our activities give juniors the chance to discover new interests and improve their English at the same time. This helps students develop a more natural and fluent use of the language.

In the evening, students also have an activity programme which includes various social events like competitions, treasure hunts and film nights.

STUDY TOURS

Gaining new life experiences

There is no better way to learn about British life and culture than to experience it for yourself. Our juniors will visit some of the UK’s famous destinations!

Study tours are so important to our learning approach. Students prepare for their study tour in class and have educational tasks to complete during their trip, this is then discussed in lessons afterwards.

  • Enjoy study tours to exciting attractions like:

    CAMBRIDGE

    Museum of Zoology

The University Museum of Zoology is one of Cambridge’s top attractions. Their brilliant galleries display the diversity of animal life, from marsupials to monkeys, mammoths to manatees.

Students will learn all about extinction, survival, evolution and exploration.

  • BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre

The Roald Dahl Museum has three hands-on galleries, with plenty of activities perfect for 6-12 year olds.

Find out about Roald Dahl’s school pranks, see the author’s original Writing Hut, and discover how his real-life adventures inspired his stories.

The Museum puts students imagination first to help them create their own stories – just like Roald Dahl did.

  • BROXBOURNE

    Paradise Wildlife Park

Paradise Wildlife Park is the leading zoo in the UK and Europe for ‘animal experiences.’ Students will have incredible access to some of the world’s most exotic and endangered species, including lions and tigers, meerkats and lemurs.

These experiences are very safe, educational and allow our juniors to form special bonds with some of our animals.

  • LONDON

    London Eye

The London Eye is an iconic part of London’s skyline and has been offering guests a new panoramic view of London.

It has won over 85 awards for national and international tourism, outstanding architectural quality and engineering achievement. In fact, it has become the UK’s most popular visitor attraction.

  • LONDON

    Kidzania

Kidzania is an indoor ‘city’ where young people can explore more than 60 real-life activities.

Our students will be able to get a fun and realistic insight into the adult world by taking part in a choice of ‘jobs’ which will earn them kidZos (KidZania currency) and then leisure activities such as the Music Studio, where they can spend their kidZos.

  • WARWICK

    Warwick Castle

Experience one thousand years of history at Warwick Castle. Learn about great battles, ancient myths, and the heroic knights who have visited this amazing castle.

  • CAMBRIDGE

    Cambridge Science Centre

This new science and discovery centre in Cambridge offers an inspirational experience, with over 30 hands-on exhibits and shows.

Students will have the space to try different experiments out and learn about the principles and mysteries of our planet, universe and beyond.
