Contemporary English and British culture

Explore current trends in English language and British culture while practising language use, such as idiomatic and colloquial English.
Two teachers exchanging teaching practice

Explore new trends in the English language and culture.

We will support you to learn up-to-date idiomatic and colloquial English, explore how the current cultural climate is affecting English and be more aware of changes in English pronunciation and grammar. The course will also explore a variety of effective teaching strategies, activities and techniques that you can use to bring British culture to life in your own classroom.

At Bell Teacher Academy, you will be joining a global community of teachers. This fully-inclusive programme includes a series of workshops and talks related to current thinking and trends in the sector, and a full programme of social events for you to explore life and culture in the UK – outside of the classroom.
