Assessing for success.
Whether or not mediation should be, or even, can be assessed is contentious. Do assessment tasks assess mediation or accurate language use? How can we assess oral and written mediation? What are our criteria? What do good marking rubrics look like and how do we mark mediation?
This course is part of the “Teaching through the lens of mediation” online course series, expertly designed to develop your understanding and expertise in assessing oral and written mediation in authentic, valid and reliable ways.
Each course we run is tailored by our expert tutors to the professional needs and priorities of the participants so content may be adapted to best suit the needs of your group.
Our approach draws on the best available evidence on how teachers learn for transferability and impact. Throughout each component of your course, you will receive ongoing tutor facilitation and feedback.

2. Consolidation and reinforcementGain useful insights from a one-hour live webinar with an expert tutor to build on and develop a deeper understanding of course content. The webinar for this course will be at 1pm – 2pm (UK time) on Friday 23 April 2021. If you are unable to attend at this time, a recording will be provided. Please note that the date and/or time may be subject to change.
3. Implementation and feedbackApply your learning to your own practice and receive feedback from tutors and peers on your completed task.
