Tom Beakes

Tom achieved his postgraduate Master’s degree in Anthropological Linguistics in 2011 and has also achieved his DELTA qualification.

Soon after, Tom joined Bell as our Academic Manager, having gained international teaching experience with young learners and adults in China, Japan, Ecuador, Spain and the UK.  He managed all our educational projects in the UK and abroad as part of Bell’s off-site programmes team. He also oversaw the academic and activity content of Bell’s young learner courses in the UK and abroad, performing standardisation training and observation training to our academic managers.

Since 2016, Tom has focused on our teacher training, quality assurance programmes and overseas projects. He is often invited to speak at industry conferences, including IATEFL UK in 2019.

Tom enjoys running half-marathons and birdwatching. He also loves playing and watching football and is a long-suffering supporter of Newcastle United.
