Assistant Learning and Teaching Manager
Alison has over 30 years’ experience of working with learners and teachers – in universities, companies and language schools. Many of those years have been at Bell Cambridge, where she also met her husband! Alison has taught general, academic, professional, examination and teacher development courses, and is hoping to share her experience in her role as Assistant Learning and Teaching Manager. She also enjoys learning from all the teachers and students she meets.
For thirteen years Alison lived in Japan, where she learned not only the language but also how to maintain modesty at a hot spring, how to cook perfect rice and why you should never arrive late for a Japanese train. She keeps up her Japanese by chatting to friends online, reading blogs and watching Midnight Diner on Netflix.
Alison has a passion for books, tea, chocolate and walks by the sea. Most of all, she loves meeting people from other countries, learning about the cultures and languages of the world.
